Engaging Sex Work Realities & Laboring Sex Work Futures in Berlin
This talk, hosted by the Sex Worker Action Group Berlin,
will engage with sex worker community organizers from different contexts across the city, to address current and ongoing struggles faced by sex workers. The panel will take place in the wake of the German Parliament‘s hearing on Olaf Scholtz‘s proposed sexkaufverbot, which would again criminalize sex work across Germany. In the midst of this parliamentary hearing, and already pervasive anti-sex worker sentiment, we hope to ask in the midst of these potential roll backs on sex workers‘ rights & autonomy: what happens when sex workers can determine their own conditions and futures, and what might it look like in the context of Berlin?
